This is Bailey. You may remember her from past sets I've done of her. Last one I did was her in as Tinker Bell. Her mom wanted something similar but this time Snow White.

Couldn't resist editing this one before taking the wife to dinner. She's so cute and such the actress.

Adorable. The magic star mist effect on the apple is very cool.

Thanks Diva. She's like an adult trapped in a 3 year old's body. She too smart for her own good.

It's actually quite simple. There are a few tutorials on the web... just Google "pixie dust photoshop".

Basically, you use a soft brush, set with a wide spread and high jitter size. Paint your pixie dust on it's own layer. Then go to blending mode for the layer and set an "Outer Glow". You can play with the option but I find that the default setting for Outer Glow work well.

You can add a second layer to add a circular gradient and also give it an outer glow, then play with the opacity. This will give it more glow, like a glowing light source. Just depends on what your doing.

BTW, color on both Pixie Dust and gradient is white.

Hope that helps. Look up the tutorials for more details.

Photoshopmama has a free action or brush, simular to this. Just google her or search for her on You Tube. She has some awesome tutorials on portrait touch-ups in Photoshop.

You do this type of work very well. On the second shot the secondary catch lights (lower left) bother me somewhat. With a bigger main catch light and a swoosh in the irsis those eyes would hit ya very hard.
