custom package + cards = fail?

hey there
set up my first package for weddings, and everything looks great. logged out, came as a visitor, to see what its like. Pretty much great. Except ... the cards? Not a single image in my entire gallery would "fit" either of the card types. I need to be able to sell Thank You cards to my clients. When they go through the regular site it works fine, but I'd really like to include it in a package. It is only an issue in the package. From the drag and drop page, where they would select their photos to order, nothing will drop on to either card's image. It says "Image will not fit" or something. They cannot move on in the process until an image fits. So ... crap.
the card making process is great if that's all they've come to order, straight from the gallery, but will not work in the package. Just to be clear.
