Westcott Green Screen Background

Is this material for a green screen worth the additional $$ over just getting a $40 backdrop on eBay?

It supposedly does not reflect light so there should be minimal bleeding into the hair if we have the subject standing far enough away from the backdrop and do the lighting correctly.

Also, It is supposedly wrinkly free which would help a little I guess.

It is about $90 more for this material.

Any thoughts?

I don't know anything about this product but Westcott is a recognizable brand. I don't think you can go wrong with tying it and wrinkle free helps a lot.

Yes. I'd go for it. My 40.00 eBay green screen has two problems. 1 it casts a green hue on the subject. 2 it wrinkles very easily. I'd spend the extra money.

I went ahead and ordered it. We will see how it performs. It is more of a fleece type material which in theory should have less reflection and wrinkles.

Dear Mdalby

I am planning to buy the same background but in white as i wanted a fabric seamless background without wrinkles.

Please share your review of the background you ordered in terms of thickness, see through/opacity and most importantly is it really wrinkle free?

Also if possible can you post a picture to see the texture of the background.
