    Just missing something on this -- feel slightly detached from the crowds and the site. Perhaps not everyone is paying attention?

    Having seen this as a tourist, I miss the color. Doesn't make me hesitate to want to return, though!

    Yeah, the color is rightly famous, but I got all the postcard shots out of my system a long time ago. mwink.gif. I was actually trying to get the face of the tour guide surrounded by the backs of everyone else's head. It's there (if you look closely lol3.gif), but so ridiculously small as to be unnoticeable. I think this may be another case of how the human vision system can focus on a single element with incredible precision, while a wide-angle lens and camera just take it as it comes. I still kind of like the image, even though it's not what I had in mind.
