Amazing shots Joel, great detail esp for an 8min exposure... well done
Thanks, Mojo! A sturdy tripod helps, as did the lack of wind.

Thanks, Nik! And yes it is fun if you don't mind stumbling around in the dark and staying up way too late. rolleyes1.gif

Thanks, Schmoo! We moved back to Almaden Valley, San Jose a few weeks ago. We were gone 8 years, and I feel like Rip Van Winkle. rolleyes1.gif

Looking forward to shooting up CA and meeting up with old and new friends. deal.gif

Well I have to congratulate Joel on several things. One he surprised me by showing up at Bowling Ball beach Saturday morning without letting me know in advance, two he didn't need too much convincing to stay out until midnight shooting coastal shots (on a narrow ledge to boot), and he got shots up before me. The third is the least impressive though as I have been sleeping in a car the past two nights in my California adventure but I'll still give him credit.
    Great shots my friend.

These photos just blow me away and inspire me all at the same time. Makes me want to head out tonight and try it myself. This is something I want to try during my upcoming trip to the Oregon Coast! Will be spending 4 nights so I plan to get out and try this!

    Thank you for sharing!!

Wow. Simply amazing. Thanks for posting these.

Rebel, good luck on the coast. Some great shots to be found there.
Just a hobbyist with never enough time to shoot.
