    Beautiful

I would crop some off the left side so she would not be centered in the shot.

She looks natural and very beautiful.
If possible, crop the left side a little bit and try to eliminate that stick on the right behind her.
    Very nice.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!clap.gifclap

beautiful shot. Love the golden hues in the background.

Do you have any more images of her on your site? I couldn't find 'em.

Very nice Zoomer. Really like the creamy tones of this shot. And I'm gonna go against the grain here and say that the composition is just right. I like the faint leading lines behind her and I also like the way the dark lines in the BG frame her.

Although I love this one technically I have some issues with it. The lower legs not being visible at all make her mid- section look wide. The almost straight on view of her torso also makes her look wide around the hips. More leg showing and more angle would have emphasized the length of her body.

Really nice light on her and wicked DOF.thumb.gif

Sure would be nice if those couple of tree truncks had melted a bit more into the rest of the BG.

As a bit of a mud groveller, I can't help but wonder what the result would've looked like from a ground level pov.

Great shot/light (and model) tho, nevertheless :)

That was my nit with this one on first viewing. With her legs back all the weight of her thighs just spreads out and she looks large. The legs extended would have cut down on that alot.

Is it just me or does the pink top and black bottom distract?

The fact that her body is not perfect, and the angles are not so carefully arranged to "hide" every flaw is exactly what I find so compelling about this photo. She comes across as an adorable, pleasant, charming, and real girl-next-door type (albeit, sitting in the street in a bikini). :D

No, you're not alone ... I also wondered about this.
Having been present during 'is this ok / does it match etc' sessions with my 2 daughters, I assumed there must be a good reason for this combo.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Yeah when I saw that bikini she chose to wear I did not have a big smile on my face.

I like it just the way it is.

If I were to change anything at all, I'd have her extend the top leg a bit.

BTW, she is the quintessential all American girl. Beautiful work.

Your light is perfect. Just a personal preference, but I think swimwear looks best around water or some place that makes sense to be wearing it. Again, just a personal preference. I've seen swimwear photos in cornfields and that makes no sense yet they were still pretty cool. I'd just say if you pick a non-water site for swimwear, there should be a reason. Like her yellow swimsuit matches the color of corn kernels or something like that. Yeah, I'm being extremely nit-picky here but I'm not understanding the location.

Love the light and pose, except I would have liked the legs extended instead of looking chopped off. Nobody else mentioned that so I freely admit my tastes may be out to lunch.

BTW, your EXIF says it was shot with a D3.

    Cheers,

    Appreciate all the comments.
Yes she does have that all american look.
Don't need water to shoot bikini's, that would be pretty limiting. I choose locations where the model can be comfortable and that have a variety of light and backgrounds.
Ok D3...I was carrying both cameras and using them interchangeably.

Love the skin. REALLY love the skin. No, not the amount of it showing you pervs, the tones and texture. How you do that?

And inquiring minds want to know, is the bokeh in that shot SOC or was there some PP done?

Selected her and took 10% of the red saturation out of her skin. Evened out the bright vs. dark areas of skin with dodge and burn. Selected her face and brightened it a bit to get rid of some of the tan in her face.
Bokeh is courtesy of a background that is 50 yards away and taken at 200mm f2.8. I took this sitting on the concrete at the same level she was at.
