MC 13 - Miller does Nutcracker?

Okay, this may be waaaay out there, but in an attempt to incorporate my photo style & enjoyment of shooting dance photos into this challenge, I'm trying a Nutcracker take on this. Thoughts & suggestions greatly appreciated.

1. Miller's Nutcracker

Lillian, I know nothing about FM...But for me, these are not well defined. even though large enough for me to see, the top three on right photos just barely come across. SO if it were me, knowing what I ( Dont) know, I'd make it all more defined!

Thanks for your input Tom. My hubbie said the same thing, so I've been working on a redo. I've also thought about just using the upper left image & throwing a shadow on the blinds.

I didn't get it until the remake. Very clever story telling. I htink it is a keeper.

It is an interesting Picture but I don't see the Frank Miller style in it?

Well, I was not really familiar with Frank Miller other than having seen Sin City years ago, so I Googled & looked through the images. I based my comic page on the comic pages shown at the bottom of this page: http://scoop.diamondgalleries.com/public/default.asp?t=1&m=1&c=34&s=265&ai=49445&arch=y&ssd=5/28/2005%2012:01:00%20pm with the caption of "Daredevil #176 pages 20 and 21 by Frank Miller. Elektra faces Kirigi, and slays him. Actions speak louder than words on these pages " (center of 2nd row in my browser), but I used a part of The Nutcracker ballet as the storyline. I guess I was thinking my page was a rather different subject matter done in the Frank Miller style. So does it really not work at all, as in do I need to scratch this and go back to the drawing board, or would it help if the processing were different?

I am no Frank Miller expert I was thinking about entering this as well so I googled Frank Miller images and found a whole list of examples they were all on the dark side you second one is in the right direction from what I saw.

I like the second one myself. For me there is more of an impact with less going on than with the first. But this subject matter has been really hard for me to grasp so I don't feel real comfortable giving to much advice.
