Printmarks and Watermarks in Gimp

Hi. I am trying to create both a watermark and a printmark using Gimp and not being very successful. I also tried to save one of your watermarks but there isn't a save button.

Those should give you the basic concepts. Since they apply mostly to Photoshop users, you'll also need to learn how to do transparency in GIMP:

It looks like both GIMP and SmugMug support the PNG file format, which in turn supports transparency, so that's the file format I would recommend saving your watermark image to from GIMP and into SmugMug.
