Just some flash

Got bored yesterday morning so thought I would try some flash, since it’s not really my thing. Maybe could have used a reflector on the left, can’t decide if I like the darkness or would like it a little bit brighter on that side… Could have aligned it a bit better as well.

A great start on OCF!! congrats. It's a personal thing with the shadows, some folks love them while others despise them.

    Thanks for the input everyone!
FlyNavy- I had one flash in front to the right high and bare. One flash behind low and bare. The white is flower.

that is an awesome idea, and well done shot! I think if there was a reflector in the game, there would be more detail from the front.. I like the energy in this one.

I need to make me a kid, so I could use them for my flash practice :)

Foques- I got the flower idea from somewhere but I don't recall where? (Maybe Chase Jarvis?) I have four kids if you want to borrow one for a while :D
Having kids does make for some great practice and if it was not for them I would not be where I am today.
    Agnieszka- Thanks!

Move him a bit closer to the door, shoot from a lower angle so his body is enclosed in the background of the door. Face him towards the light, and shoot it again.
The dark area works....if it is his back in shadow.
    I like the flour idea...cool.

Good idea with having him face the other way, I will have to try that. Funny how we can miss the simple things.
