Best to get there early or late in the day to avoid people in your shots, and for better light. Trouble is you can't get in until they open unless you are staing in the Spread Eagle Inn (NT) next to the garden. Evening is best.
Is your monitor calibrated? They look OK on mine (which is). I'd be interested in how others see them.
Thanks Rob times noted. Exposure looks Ok to me, mind I have recalibrated with ColorEyes recently and everything is that much darker.
