Gezzzzz I dunno if I'm gonna get any good Fall pics this year? :cry
Rain Rain Rain 7 days straight here in Upstate NY.

Well I was plodding threw a CD of images I did last year and came up with one of my favs to share.
Amazingly this was taken with my old Mavica FD97 2.1mp!:wow

Very lil PP was done other than a slight crop and thin boarder for web posting.
I did use a Tiffen Circ Pol.

What ya think HONESTLY?:dunno

    Nice shot
I like the shot as it is. Nice scene and composition. It seems to be a bit oversaturated in the yellow-greens, tho. I had a Sony S70 and it tended to do the same thing. Are those 2 chairs down near the water? If so, did you get closer and try to include some reflections or shoot from other angles? Looks like a lot of possibilities to explore there.

I was thinking about you guys up there and was wondering if your fall color was being washed away.

Pond is muddy 365 days a year so taking closeup shots wasn't a good idea.

:D Dunno about color being washed away but we are!
We are about 4 days to a week of being at peak here. I hope it stops raining long nuff for me to catch it!!!

It's a nice shot GF. I think you can bring out even more of the colors if you reduce the exposure. The histogram may seem OK but for these types of shots I think it's better to be a bit underexposed. This lets you saturate the colors a bit more without going to far out on the gamut. If you shot RAW try processing again with a lower exposure and a LAB conversion/contrast curve enhancement.

Jim, I hope you don't mind..
I took a liberty of playing with your image. Could not do much to the sky, it seems to be very pale, but the other colors can be enhanced easily:

I'm not sure if you had this in mind, but that is very easy to achieve by simply creating a duplicate layer and changing the mode to Multiply. Same can be done via LAB by steepeing AB curves (and doing a bit of S in luminosity) if you want to ve more subtle control over the hues..

    Looks much better!thumb.gif

    But the last part.......HUH?headscratch.gif
I'm not that CS2 evolved yet!

Taken with my FD97 so I had no control over ISO and other important settings.
Not that it mattered cuz most can be corrected with CS2....but I have a bit to learn yet!:D
