    The colors in #1 are fantastic, and the shutter speed looks perfect for that moving water. For me personally, I'm not sure I'm digging the partially submerged look. It adds this part of the picture that basically looks out of focus. In an interesting effect, but just not my personal taste. From the water line up though is fantastic.

    These are both HDR...

    #1
    Base Shot: Nikon D700 with VR 16-35mm F4 shot at 32mm on F22 for 1sec
    then bracket expose 2up and 2down for 1/3 of a stop each.
    Post Process: Sharpen, Minor color enhance

    then bracket expose +1 and -1 for one full stop each.
