I can't decide if I want to use the one I entered (below #1) or the second one. Opinions?

1. Toothpick Oasis

2. Can't Keep My Eyes Open

With some processing the eyes could be a good mega challenge entry. For toothpicks I prefer your current entry which is a very creative and interesting image.

The first is sort of fun to be sure. The second is a little Clockwork Orange.... Scary!

15524779-Ti.gif that the first one is fun and creative. The second one makes me want to protect my eyes....

Had that same thought when the challenge was announced. Unfortunately, as great as the eyes are, the effect isn't convincing enough.

Okay, it's unanimous. I know the eyes are creepy, just had the urge to try it.

I'm gonna go against the grain here but I really like the eyes! #1 is a nice shot but the eyes grabs my attention and is a great take on the theme IMO!

Hey, those are my eyes you're all calling creepy! They are green too, so yes, can be scary I guess. My husband can't even look at the picture, he's creeped out too.

Thanks for all the input. It's confusing for sure. The second guessing is the hardest part.

Laughing.gif..creepy. I have to say on the eye pix, for me, the 'detail' is not present for it to be believable. I think the emotion from you is really good, but there's no stresses against the skin, that make me feel those toothpicks are actually holding your eyes open. My brain also would expect strain on the toothpicks. Maybe even a cartoonish bowing.... it's a really cute idea, but I couldn't vote for it if it hit the gallery.

You're right Paul. I thought about that. It was just something I threw together. I know it would need work if I entered it. I don't think I'm going to bother though. The other one seems to be the favorite.

Can't wait to see your entry!
