Thanks Sam. It is one of those places that has been shot a ton but you still need to shoot it for yourself. Other than shooting on the bridge itself or shooting from the water I believe I explored every other place it could be shot from.

    Very nice.

I like especially like #1 and #2. #2 looks like it could be used for the cover of a reissued Dashell Hammett novel.

Re #1, did you experiment with any crops? I wonder how it would look if it were cropped on the left and bottom to feature the upper right more prominently. To me at least, right now it seems unbalanced, with the eye drawn to the upper right, and less going on in the lower left.

There is no such thing as "bad" weather... especially in a place like SF in the summer where you have no choice. :D You had great conditions for the lights and the subject. Looks like you had a very successful trip. thumb.gif

Yes, #3 in particular takes nice advantage of the interesting weather. It is neat how the tops of the towers sort of dissolve in the clouds.

Thanks for the comments. I played with a few crops but to my eye I prefer this look. At first look the right side seems heavy but if you sit back and allow your eyes to naturally travel the layers of receding waves help draw the eye towards the bottom of the image and the rock off to the left helps to then start a circular pattern back to the bridge.

At least that's how I see it. :D

I will take your bad weather any day for photography. I was actually disappointed this weather was not consistent throughout the coast. I was hoping to get fog near Point Arena and in Montgomery Woods State Park but the skies were clear in those areas. :cry

Very nice! Great shots and color considering the fog, which pretty much hasn't left the area in 5+ months. Like it!
