Mackinaw Trip '05 Friday

Nothing super spectacular yet. Just some stuff I went over really quick. Let me know what you think.

First thing friday morning me and glu woke up, got ready, left before the sun was up (while it was still freezing) and went across the bridge to find somewhere to shoot from. Nothing great for sunrise (couldn't get a good angle) but I liked this one.



Then it was off to the wilderness state park where we walked around a bit but I didn't do much shooting and nothing I have processed yet. After lunch Pathfinder and Mrs. Pathfinder joined up and we took a little drive up through the UP to the Upper Tahquamenon Falls. Which is the second largest waterfall this side of the Mississippi.





After hiking around, up and down stairs, and back. It was time for dinner. Luckily there is a great brewery right at the park.

I had the pork medalions with a maple syrup sauce thing.



Mrs. Path and Glu had the fresh white fish



Path had a nice looking buffalo burger that I didn't get a shot of but he did (and make him tease ya with it).

And to make sure Andy would be proud. I finished it all.



Then it was back to makinaw city and we stopped before we crossed the bridge to try some late night shots of it.



That was friday and it was pretty fun. And you guys missed the good food.

I've got a couple for ya Andy but haven't even had a chance to transfer the shots from the P-2000 to my HD yet. I've been on 12 hour shifts at work all week and came back home from a fun weekend to find my grandfather in really bad shape in the hospital anthough it looks like he is beginning to show signs of recovery. He's 89 and thinks he's younger than me.

Thanks for putting the weekend together Gary, it was a lot of fun besides the cold. I'll try to post something this weekend but I wouldn't hold yer breath.

Yeah maybe next time I'll plan early enough and get there when the weather is warmer.....

Hmmm I wonder if thats why the had the homemade rootbeer gimick.
