Must Upload Twice to See Keywords

Ever since I joined SM I have had this problem. I've lived with it, but its getting annoying.

I upload to SM from Lightroom. All my photos have keywords on them. When I upload the photos the keywords don't show up. Even if I wait a day or two. I always have to upload the photos twice. And as soon as a photo is uploaded the 2nd time (as soon as it moves from "modified" to "published" in LR), the keywords show up in SM.

Is this a problem with uploader (I'm using the out-of-the-box uploader from LR) or SM?
