Congratulations on the new lens. clap.gif

For the Canon EF 50mm, f1.8 an Canon 400D/XTi camera I do recommend manual focus with AF confirmation. If you leave the lens in full AF you will probably get some consistent misfocus at f1.8-f2.2 or so (at least my lens is inconsistent to focus at those apertures and I can find many other people with the same issue.)

    By f5.6 it is a non-issue.

Otherwise, a pretty amazing glass for the money.

Thanks Ziggy...for the money I have at the moment, I think it'll be a decent buy. Trying my hand at babies and my own kids - think it might be fun for that. Also some wider shots from the balcony when my daughter does her shows - I struggled with a manual focus 50mm last time...

Anyway...gotta be fun, and if i look after it, I KNOW I will get the money back on it if I decide to sell...one glance at eBay shows that. :)

    Cheers Oscar...

Had a quick shufty...the image is not the best, what with hair all over the place, etc., but this is how she was. :)
Nice and sharp...lovely light, i think.

Think I'm gonna like this lens. :)
