    These are both pretty well done given the lighting.

    The first needs to have some more detail in the shadow area. There is just so much black.

    The 2nd shot is better. Do you have any filters? A Grad ND filter would have helped balance the lighting or you could have taken multiple exposures to do an HDR or manual blend.

    I actually like all the black in the first image.. Very atmospheric. Love the 2nd one as well. Nice work.
