7 days straight of rain was a big bummer.

    Wow Man, I've been tied up all day and I didn't notice your response. Wasn't trying to be snotty or anything. Have I succeeded in encouraging you to disregard the weather and get out there anyway and think outside the box? I don't know where these boxes come from. I know that there are rules that work and make for good images but they are only guidelines and our concept of what "good" weather is all about is pretty narrow. The challenge is to take what the Lord gives you and make the best of it. And that sometimes means doing stuff that goes outside the "box" of our thinking what good photography is all about.

    Today it was heavy overcast and very windy ... real miserable. And I spied this little maple trying to be colorfull and blowing around in the wind. But if you use your heart instead of your brain you can see a great image. Different yes but really neat. The brain part only comes into play when you want to get that image on film or CCD ...
