Irene has come and nearly gone. I ventured out at high tide and during a break in the rain to capture the first four images. Went back out after the rain stopped and the wind picked up to get the last few. And yes, I have had the 'Come on Eileen' song in my head for the past 24 hours :rolleyes

I trust your camera survived the salt spray - did you have it in something or were you totally risking the elements?

Seems to be alright... Wiped it down with paper towels in the car. Cleaned off the front of the lens. The benefits (and dangers) of living in a seaside town I guess

Abi- I was actually sheltered by a building but zoom made it seem like I was in the thick of it
Did get some spray on the camera but it was minimal
Appreciate the comment on 7. I had some water drops on the lens that I got rid of best I could but you can still see one dark spot in the water that I missed and a lighter one over a window on the house on the hill

I saw some crazy folks up on the big rock at Castle Rock and later saw photos of a wave cresting OVER them. Police actually came out shortly after I took my shot and closed the area due to fears of winds pulling people off the rocks.
