In need of a Canon 52mm drop-in gel filter holder

Tragedy struck me recently as I lost the drop-in filter holder from my EF500 f4L IS USM lens. From what Canon states in the manual, its for gelatin filters, and has a clear glass filter in the holder. Despite their claims that it is part of the optics chain, I can see no degradation of the images without it in place, but it does leave a nice rectangular hole in the rear of my lens, which is at present covered securely with black gaffer tape (not pretty but a funtional necessity of the moment)
The problem with just buying another one is that nobody seems to have them in stock at the moment, even Canon, and no estimate of when they will be available.
So, if anyone has one of these laying around I'd be interested in exchanging some $$ with you for it.
