OK, you're a goof. The first shot is in the ballpark. I would have tried to make the bird a tad more prominent.

The second shot is pretty but I need a magnifying glass to detect the bird in flight.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Ben, what about a photo of the marina?

And I was thinking, Good Gosh that is ugly, but maybe if you messed with the composition a bit you could still get something good. I always say that one should feel passionate about what one shoots for good results. Feeling "ugly" is passionate. Now you gotta make us want to look at it (lighting?, whatever), and get a bird to fly all at the same time.

Kind of like chewing gum and walking. Oh, and try to get the bird in focus........
plus big enough to see. That is for Harry. His forum requires nature, living or plant life, and he added the fact that it needed to be in the air.

I actually considered going to the dog park. I already have some cool photos of dogs high in the air chasing frisbees. I think a nice pet dog would do wonders for Harry. Maybe you could throw a pizza up, with pineapple on it. Some dogs will eat anything.

I took at least 450 shots yesterday. For the assignment, you can see what I got, all 3, or 5, they are posted.rolleyes1.gif . It is not an easy assignment, IMO. A combo of the landscape forum and the nature forum.
The beach, take some bread to the beach to get the sea gulls, you and Jeff could do it. Then you could put some people in the shot, you would have a 3 way combo, Nature, Landscape and People.

I love seeing where you are shooting!
After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.
