I signed up to be a volunteer photographer for the Miracle League. It's a special baseball field in my town where kids with special needs can play.

What tips can you all give me for taking pictures of special needs kids?

Shoot tight and get those faces. My experience is that those kids have a smile on their face that would make a sourpuss smile.

Smiles are important but other emotions are cool to capture also. Their intensity shown in their faces is priceless. Another thing I try to capture is the interactions between team mates. IE the high fives, hugs, cheering etc.. It's a blast shooting at these type events.
