the flying dragon

spotted this dragonfly in the grass this morning
after some shots , i stirred it some ,
instead of flying away it just fell of its leaf
touched it some more , but it refused to go
wtf???

so , took a small branch and let it climb on
now its airborne and i can choose my own background

hey , whats wrong ?
why dont you fly away ?

Lovely shots. I like Dragonflies since I went on a proper Damsels and Dragons hunt a couple of weeks back. These are great, especially 1 and 3. Very nicely done, and great that you had help from the subject!

Yeah, I did mine handheld, mostly with a manual 90mm macro lens on. You should have a look at my thread, called "Damsels and Dragons". Didn't manage to get a good one with the wings going like your, however, that one is great!
