Fogged In Morning on the Great Plains

It's been quite a foggy summer in the neighborhood this year - by far more foggy mornings than any of the eight summers I've been living out in this part of the Great Plains. Having seemed to have recovered a bit of the inability to get up before work requires, I headed out again this morning.

1) Pasture gate looking directly into the rising sun, fighting it's way through the dense fog

2) corrals and loading chute

Thanks for taking a look!

C&C encouraged - I'm just now getting out of a shooting rut and am struggling to find my groove a bit.

These are so pretty. I don't know why I never think of fog on the plains, maybe because I generally associate fog with low-lying water or in-between hills. But these are really incredible. I think you have the potential for so many great abstracts living where you do. thumb.gif

Thanks to all of you for taking a look. We've had so much moisture - for us - the last month or two. The foggy mornings have been interesting...unfortunately, I usually see them as I'm trying to be on time to work - I was happy to finally get out early enough to play with the light a little bit.

    Thanks again for looking! clap.gif

Very nice. I like the composition on the 2nd one much better, though. It really pulls you into the photo.
