New to macro photography

Here is one of my first few attempts at macro photography.
All constructive criticism would be appreciated

Pretty good for first tries. Looks like the hoverfly is facing slightly away from you which is not normally a good shooting angle. You need them side on or facing towards you for a cleaner looking shot.

Also need to manual focus , make sure eyes /body is Sharp , looks like focus point is behind the hovers body , focused on the flowers stamens behind body .

It does take practise. Keep posting
