Door Chain

My parents are building an addition on back of their house soon. This is their back door lock they installed years ago to keep us in as kids. Same lock we used to keep out siblings. :D
I wanted to capture this photo before the demo begins.

    I really like this shot. Great processing.
    Only question is whether to crop out the very top (is that a knot in the wood or part of the lock in the upper left corner?). I think it would simplify and strengthen the composition.

    Thank you! I think that you're right.
    - It's not a knot but a big plastic screw to hold in the window/screen that's been painted over. How about....

    Nice shot, Matt. The elimination of the plastic screw was a plus. Personally, I would have preferred to see you use a little smaller aperture ( bigger number ) so that the entire chain and fittings were tack sharp.....a small nit, though. It's still nice.
