I really like your PP work on these, Sam. That first one just really pops....both, though, are very well done.thumb.gif

What can I say Sam? Beautiful images. I live on an Island so I'm partial to water images. The boat image is wonderful. I might be interested in one of those for my livingroom.

I really like your #1 with the boat! I'm also starting to go back in the older files and reprocessing images in a new way and finding that it is interesting how different an image can be presented.
    Have a great day!

I love them both although the second one almost seems a little unnatural to me.

For the newbie here (that would be me) would you mind posting one of them with no real PP (just the simplest export possible)? I'm trying to get an idea/feel of just how far images can be taken or have been taken from their raw shot.

    Thanks

OK, here you go these have only the default (pretty minimal) LR3 adjustments applied. You can comape these with the final versions.

I like the idea of a before & after thread.
    Is there one already?

It would be really interesting and also very helpful to many to see what can be made from an original shot.

EDIT: nevermind, I did a search and found a bunch of interesting Before&After threads.

Don't you hate losing a thread you are interested in? Ah well, found it again. :)

Thanks Sam. The comparison is nice to be able learn how other people crop and process. I love how you got the headstone inscriptions to pop out.

Great PP, Sam. I especially like #1--the green of the boat really pops out and I also like the composition. Well done!

The re-do added the needed 'punch' to the photos thumb.gif I agree .. the green really pops on the boat, but the mountains and the clouds look nice in the cemetery photo.
