easiest MLU for 1Ds3 ??

Would like to know the simplest, most direct way to lock up the mirror on my 1Ds3 before an exposure-I think the 'set' button can be assigned the 'mirror down' duty in Custom Functions but other than setting MLU in My Menu-is that the only way?
Hope I'm missing something simple-this seems awkward at best.
Thanks very much for your time, and this great forum.
Cheers!

Yes, using "My Menu" to hold an MLU shortcut is the fastest method available to true MLU. I just use the "Live View" function to get the mirror up and reduce shake, in a hurry. (5D MKII and 40D.)

It is sad that Canon has not made a dedicated button for MLU, but the My Menu shortcut and Live View at least make it easier than previous models to reduce shake due to mirror movement.

In addition to Live view, i have one custom function with MLU activated+landscapes/architecture settings on my 7D
