Metallic prints and black & white

I have never had any prints done using the metallic finish. I would like to get some done. Is this a good option if my print is black and white or is it best used with color?

Well - it's pretty underexposed in the rear of each subject, and the stage area.

That's how I wanted that particular shot to look.....anyway......do black and whites make good candidates for metallic? Will those dark areas not render properly with metallic?
