Thought I'd post a few from a recent trip my DW and I took up to Middlebury, Vermont.

There were some waterfalls, of course...

...and a cool tower on the other side of Lake Champlain in Crown Point, NY...

...lots of open farmland and old barns

We walked around Middlebury at night and I grabbed a few shots of a church and an old house on the town square.

There's some good stuff here. I like the last one especially.

Digging through the orphans, huh Phil? lol8.gif

Thanks for the comments - I like the last one too, I was surprised to get something decent at night from my 300D. I don't usually have much luck with long dark exposures.

thumb.gif Nice work. I like the waterfall and the open pasture and the last house. I'd like to see a little more of the context on the waterfall. How long was the exposure on the last house and is the red streak a car or some kind of moving light? I think it adds to the picture. What a beautiful house.

I love these shots. Is it me or is the Crown Point tower slightly tilted? If so, you could straighten it by rotating just 1 or 2 degrees.

Thanks for the good comments, guys. thumb.gif

The house was f5.6, ISO100 for 13 seconds. The streak is the taillights of a car passing by; I was trying to time it so there were no cars but it didn't work out and I kind of ended up liking the streak. ne_nau.gif

This is one of those that seems to look tilted no matter how I rotate it. ne_nau.gif The columns are tapered (or barrel shaped) so I can't use those. I ended up making the door frame vertical, but I know what you mean - it still looks a bit off.

Love the old farm and rolling hills shot. I would love to "work" that country!

Good shots, I love seeing the places (many) where I have never been!
