Kayla is a Junior this year. We have done a portrait shoot every year since she was 12. She is my daughter and she is kind of getting into the photography...both taking them and being in them. We have a lot of fun with it.
She is my second shooter at weddings and my pose consultant and client motivator at portrait sessions. (especially with the senior guys).

Here is her full gallery: http://alloutdoor.smugmug.com/Portrait-galleries/Kayla-and-Trista/18845586_jcZcLK#1460500452_wZTR6dG

Is this all natural or was there some editing? You have a beautiful model and the light catches her just right. I love how the eyes pop in shot 1.

    This site really is unique.
People here have some class. If there is a problem with a pic someone will mention it...but always with a constuctive intent.
Not a lot of tearing stuff up just cause it is easy to tear any photo apart if that is your intent.

Appreciate that we have a great group of members here.
There are some real blank blank people out there at other forums.

    Hey Zooms

She is one GORGEOUS kid. Your wife must be a supermodel to average you out.rolleyes1.gif

On a serious note, 1 is great but 3 should be hanging on a wall somewhere.

My particular nits: I love the colors in # 2 but I'd like to see just a bit of white on the other side of her eyes and in #4 everything is great but her smile looks just the slightest touch forced. As stated though, these are the nittiest of nits cause they are all perfectly executed.

EDIT: Been through her full gallery and there are more keepers there than I get in three shoots.clap.gif

#1 she looks like Olivia Wilde.
    Wow.

I will seriously send you a pint of your favorite beer if you teach the PP technique you used!

Thanks John, that is truer than you know ha. Appreciate your critique, good points.

1 is my favorite from the entire shoot as well..there are some in the gallery that I really like also that she didn't.

Processing of 1: Not sure what you mean on the PP technique.
Shot with thin depth of field in good light.(all of these are natural light)
Levels, crop and contrast adjust in Lightroom.
    Skin work in Portrait Professional.

Nik filters... added a slight glow affect. Then sharpened a bit more and cloned some fly away hairs in Elements.
    Think that was it.
At the gallery all of the exif data is intact for viewing if you are interested.

Don't really use a "technique" I address each photo individually to bring out what I like in the photo.
If you have any specific question I will be glad to answer if I can.

i'm curious about #2, for an example.

did you have BG on a separate layer and saturated it? the graffiti shots are just popping, I love that.

    I never use layers.
Most of the color comes from good light and the levels/contrast adjustment.
If the whites are white and the blacks are black the color....given good light...usually pops without much help.
The color of that particular mural when viewed in person is actually that brilliant.
