thanks david-the nose is a little OOF as I was shooting wide open and therefore limited DOF and wanted to get the eye in focus.
i was using my "new" super-multi-coated takumar 1:4/300 so had to stand off a fair distance-in hindsight I should have got in closer with my efs-60 macro but with all the kerfuffle and the speed at which the shearer worked it didnt happen.
i was glad that she was in the shade because white fluffy creatures are very difficult to expose correctly in direct sunlight

I was surprised to find kerfuffle in the dictionary (yet my spelling checker tags it as a misspell!):
kerfuffle |k?r?f?f?l| noun [in sing. ] informal chiefly Brit. a commotion or fuss, esp. one caused by conflicting views : there was a kerfuffle over the chairmanship. ORIGIN early 19th cent.: perhaps from Scots curfuffle (probably from Scottish Gaelic car ‘twist, bend’ + imitative Scots fuffle [to disorder] ), or related to Irish cior thual ‘confusion, disorder.’

they are nice eyes with a rather strange rectalinear iris, which i guess is an evolutionary strategy to deal with bright light? just a guess

looks a sweety, love the expression, not afraid just - "oh gawd, what people-stupid thing is it this time?" Is she one of your family's pets or a friend/neighbour's? More of Gigi pls - goats are great little models.
You said "white fluffy creatures are very difficult to expose correctly in direct sunlight". Too true, but not as difficult as the black ones, fluffy or smooth.

Looks like she's about to get her head chopped off ! she don't look happy at all.
So was she happy with a shorter coat ??? or not ??
