This one is a real stretch for me. Here are the first tries shooting a magnolia - C&C very welcome.

    Hmmm... I like your #1, it seems to be the older Orton style and has a nice glow to it, but I'd try for a closer macro and get only one set of those blooms to focus, even in the "sharp" one, and then merge the unfocused to get the glow.

    #3 is appealing too.

    I think Jake's advice regarding #1 is good, and I think that shot has potential. Good luck with it!

    Concedntrate on the effect in #1 with magnolia reshoots. I like where you are going with this.
