Very happy with the battery life of my D7000

Long fun day today. Shot little league football this morning, then a gymnastics meet this afternoon. I put in a fresh battery in the grip of my D7000 this morning. I took a look at the battery stats between the gymnastics competition and the awards ceremony. At that point I had shot 2610 photos and still was at 61% battery life. :D I don't remember the last time I recharged the battery in the camera, seems I only operate off of the grip battery.

I was stunned at how long the batteries last. And I don't do anything that would help them out... I do rotate the batteries (grip & body) everytime I charge one just to keep them both fresh.

In my D7000 I keep AAs in the grip and a normal battery in the camera. I've gone on three-day trips with near constant shooting and haven't run out yet.
