Okay, Evan. This is real street photography. A fine shot. Bravo!

This second photo is a winner! I keep looking at it trying to figure out the story (ambiguity is a big plus here ). I finally settled on the kid being tired of walking to their destination. One of the adults is trying to convince him that it is just a little farther. So everyone will want their turn to convince him to get going again, making it worse...

Thoughts on processing: Wondering without recommending: Would it be stronger with a slight crop of the left and bottom and would brightening the blacks/shadows a touch help as the the adult cajoling him is hard to distinguish on initial viewing...

BTW, I suggest starting a new thread with a new photo (as in this case). Many who saw the first one will assume you and others are just commenting on the original shot and will miss a wonderful subsequent shot.

Rainbow, a small crop on the left might help, but the picture would be better if the camera had been raised a little. This is the kind of thing you can't do with contemplation; the composition has to be intuitive. Takes a long time and a lot of practice to get to where you can frame properly without thinking, but it's the key to good street photography. Most important thing is that Evan saw this and snapped it. Most people wouldn't have seen the interplay.

    Wonderful shot.
Leaves me w/ so many unanswered questions.
I like how the kid is really the only whole subject and the adults are all cut off, on purpose or not, I think it works.

Thanks Liz! I am glad to hear this. The adults were cut out in post - thought it worked better here, too. Thanks again!
