Bailey's 1st Day

I had some time today during lunch so I met Bailey and her mom at school for her first day of Catholic pre-school. I just downloaded them from my CF card and thought I'd share a few. I shot these with my little 50mm f/1.8 lens I just picked up from another Dgrinner. I'm pretty happy with these. It was noon and the sun was out in full force. I managed to find some spots with open shade so it worked out.

5 - Lined up ready to start school. She was one of maybe 2-3 kids that were crying their little eyes out. The little girl has moxie I tell you.

She is SO cute! And it's no wonder...mommy and auntie are gorgeous, too! I'd say it worked out alright! These are darling.

Love them! I am sure the men of dg would love for you to photograph mommy and auntie again sometime. Not fair that you have so many beautiful women at your disposal. ;D

Soooooo sweet! What's nice, too, is that she wasnt' doing her "in the studio supermodel" thing where all that 'tude comes across - she just looks like an absolutely adorable little girl.

Bet Mom loves having you guys as friends/neighbours - she's got the best kid pix in town!

Cute kid, ad her mom has great eyes! #1 is a classic, but it looks like focus landed on her mouth. The eyes are a little soft. Easy enough to do when you're shooting that shallow. I think the backpack shot is my favorite, although I wish her name wasn't on it. Mom should know better...
