Here's a macro of a bee i took over the weekend.

Taken with 20D/50 1.4 and 250D/500D close up lenses.

    That's a nice looking bee, they always look like they are trying to squish their little faces right inside the flower don't they, like they get a high off it or something....... if this wind would just die down here I'd like to try shooting bees again too.......nice shot David.........Skippy (Australia)

    They are definately frustrating buggers to photograph, i wish they would sit still a bit longer than a few seconds bncry.gif

    I am really missing the extra reach from my F717 right now....need to get a good macro lens icon10.gif

    Dang wings got lost in frame....It was ALMOST a awsome shot.:cry
    They move pretty quick and don't sit long.
    Mighta been better if I had my 3358 closeup lens then?ne_nau.gif

    hehe...nice shot none the less. yeah I have lots of these OOF shots. Have the closeup lens may have caused more problems due to the narrower DOF.

    Your brand of bee looks a fair bit different to the ones we get down here.

    I am really enjoying the lack of shutter lag with my new 20D, it makes life a tad easier photographing these guys. I'm really looking forward to doing some more soon. Just wish I had enough to buy a new macro lens.
