Thanks! It was clear this morning, but I can see where the "orton" processing will be a great tool to have available.

Very nice Chad. I think most of the shots I have taken and applied the effect to, have looked better without the processing. This one, I bet, was improved by it.

Thanks! I'll let you be the judge regarding the processing (cropped slightly differently as I didn't save the RAW file PP) -

That is a lovely shot, with or without processing, but I really like the misty look that the Orton effect adds.

I love it!! ... but the moon (or is that that sun) looks a little weird to me. I wonder what it would look like with that part cropped out? But really, a beautiful shot!

Thanks! That is the moon, but given the long exposure & Orton processing it is definitely distorted. This better?

Love the shot. But unlike everyone else, I like it without the moon.

I like the Orton, moon version. I have an added twist though - wish the moon were a bit lower in the sky. Not much you can do about that! Nice job!

Thanks! I wanted it lower too, but the sun came up, the color went away and my fun was spoiled. I am going to try another morning, but not in time for this entry.

OK... I like it both ways... I guess it's a judgement call. :)

I thought the same thing. I'm guessing a bit of PS trickery could do it. But not sure if this violates the rules of the Challenge.

I don't know about the rules, but my PS skills are non-existent. I use CNX2 for almost everything. I tell people that it makes me a better photographer.:D

I like the moon! When you went for the closer crop, I found myself trying to read the lettering on the building in the background;.......

Thanks! That's the one that I submitted based on the feedback. Plus its what I envisioned (with the moon a bit lower) when I went out and shot the shot.
