Grumpy old men

I've been struggling with getting close to people I don't know. Lurking with a long lens was making me feel a little creepy so I borrowed a 50mm prime lens and went out. Found these two guys on the same bench. I got a little too close to get them both in the same frame so I snapped two quick pics. They kind of work together. I still think it would have been better in one shot.

    You answered your own question.
    I think that in this case you should of backed up and gotten one shot with both subjects.

    Shoot From the Hip is one way to get close. A google search will provide lots of information on the technique.
