When you don't have room, use the counter tops! This was my first attempt trying something like this, so hopefully it is kinda working.

The Setup: Box above, reflector below, and a flash in the back to (unfortunately) make everything WAYYYYYYY too hot. Shoulda brought down the power. Ahh well.

Nice catchlights and awesome control on the exposure. Pretty industrious on your part and that's good! thumb.gifthumbthumb.gifclap.gifclapclap.gif
Sitting quietly, doing nothing. Spring comes and the grass grows by itself.

Heck no. It's PERFECT the way it is. I LOVE these type of high-key headshots. Great work and and nice use of the kitchen!

I like the background blown out like that for the seamless white look. Great shot!

My intention was to blow out the back, but by too hot I mean the backlight was so hot it backlit her ear. She's four, so it is hard for her to follow precise instructions. I'm thinking one of these solutions would have solved it, but I'm not sure. I'll have to try this setup again.

    * Turn model so the ear is not backlit.
    * Lower the power a bit on the back flash.
    * Move model away from the back (hard to do in this setup).
    * Put more light on the front of the ear.

You could turn down the background light a bit, but it's pretty darn nice the way it is as well. What a cutey! You captured her eyes perfectly. thumb.gif

Very Creative setup but when in need it seems to always be a good choice I have used weird spots..so I feel for yeah.

But what ever you did looks amazing.. Her eyes are well lit and the catch light is beatiful...Well done...mind thinking...... Ideas
