LCD cover = best $6 I've ever spent

I'm not affiliated with this company at all, but I must say this is the best $6 I've spent on photography equipment. Just put this cover with a polycarbonate coating on my D2X and D70. I was tired of my scratched plastic covers and fearful of damaging the actual LCD cover. This is an inexpensive solution that works. They have custom cut covers for most cameras.

I can't believe nobody else has replied. This really is good item.

Thanks for the link Mitch, I've been looking for something like this and all I could find were the clear sticky plastic protectors that didn't seem sufficient.
I'm ordering one as soon as my paypal account is back up and running.

I hated the way the PDA protector plastic thingies looked on the LCD. I never seemed to get a clear image and they were a pain to cut and put on.

These things are great. You can't beat it for the money.

I didn't happen to see it. Do you know if they have them for the 20D?

It's there. The site is poorly laid out. If you can't find an item, give them a call. I'm told they have covers for every camera.

    Mike,
I think this is it. You may want to double check with them.

The 20D has an easily replaceable plastic cover which is inexpensive. See this message for detail information:

No reason to cover up the existing LCD.

The 5D has a larger LCD than most. How best to protect it so as to preserve the resale value of the camera?

Or maybe, as with the 20D, there is no need. What about the 1D series?

Andy told me he reads just about everything that goes by on dgrin, so we'll test him. Nobody tell him or it will ruin the experiment.
    If not now, when?

don't believe everything he says. Patch and I played a little game like that once... remember when Patch changed the description of the flea market to "Andybay"? He never caught it. Patch had to give it away.

BTW, this LCD protector is cool. Definitely the nicest/cheapest solution I've seen. The Hoodman covers are similar, but more $$$.

Just to add that I received my protector today for the 350D. It is a very thin acrylic layer(approx 1.5mm) with a scratch resistant layer that fits over the current lcd screens with adhesive strips. It is very easy to fit and a bargain at this price.
My only (very small) is that the two screen display is actually out by approx a mm on the 350D and the black borders of the protector actually cover up the servo print that is on the actual screen(shows one shot, contin's etc.) Otherwise it is a cheap and seems to be effective and sturdy way to protect your lcd.

And thanks again Mitchell for pointing it out.
