Yearbook Portraits: Shoot to Delivery

Hello,
I was wondering what kind of software you use to organize your photography for Yearbook Portraits.

1. What do you do during the shoot to organize your files and keep track of students to photos.
2. Post-Production?
3. How do you organize your files for delivery? (To individual Families and Schools)
4. Do you use a service to help your delivery?

5. What other services do you provide other than photography (ie: ID cards, etc)

Sorry, I'm still looking to see what other people do for workflow in terms of yearbook portraits.
I would greatly appreciate any insight.

I potentially have a student body of 1300 students and haven't the slightlest clue how to ORGANIZE that many people...
