#85 - 3rd Try - Lens Painting the Sunset

I would have missed the sunset were it not for running an errand for my daughter-in-law and seeing a sky that was too good pass up.... There were strands of blue, gold and silver across the western sky. The sun was quite low but managed to create a brilliant rainbow that seemed to go straight up. I managed to get home and grab my camera in time to capture the last minutes of the sunset with its quickly changing colors.

Do you think one of these motion effect shots of the sunset trump the (other) abstracts that I could enter?

It's hard for me to judge reds on my (not yet calibrated) monitor so I may have desaturated a few of these a bit more than necessary when converting the RAW files in LR3. Please let me know if they seem dull or too vibrant to your eye. Would greatly appreciate your input on this series.
