425 years of Voronezh city. Part 1

Yesterday we had a holiday - so called city day. A 425 anniversary!
Centre of the city was closed for cars and people filled it (we have near 1 000 000 here)

A lot of stages appeared here and there and artists were singing, playing and dancing.

Russian folk is very popular!

Ships models were furrowing the waters of Koltsovsky's square fountain...

The weather was right, with some white clouds, underlining autumn season (great for photography!)

40 pairs ( fiancés and brides) were walking at the centre of the city. Of course they were photographed!

Traditionally, old cars were at Lenin's square.

I would enjoy seeing some of these in B&W. In several of them, the color isn't helping out the story (the cars being an obvious exception). They have a very street type of feel too - so this post might better live in the street forum rather than in people.
