the sun.. taken with a 500mm telephoto,a 2x teleconverter and most important a solar filter. DO NOT ATTEMPT WITHOUT A PROPER SOLAR FILTER ,THE SUN WILL BLIND YOU

you can see a couple sets of sunspots

    Lovely series. I like the image of Jupiters moons also. I was stunned to realize that I can actually see Saturns rings with a 12x binoculars if the air is clear and dry.

    Here is a frame from a 10D seven years ago with the moon and Jupiter captured in the same frame with a 300mm lens, at a time when Jupiter was very near the moon. ISO 100, f8 1/500th seconds.

    I, too, was blown away by the Jupiter moons shot. I had no idea that was possible without a telescope. Well done. clap.gif
