    Nice one. This morning, the lunar eclipse was visible around 0500 PDT.

    Cool, stable, dry air helps a lot. :):

    I wish I had known about the eclipse - Maybe someone has a good shot of it.

    Summers almost here so we should get some pretty mild nights and still nights coming our way in the next few months, I hope I can give this type of photography a go......you are very inspiring ..... Skippy (Australia)

    Wow Pathfinder, sweet moon shot. Many of the moon shots I see are rather flat but yours pops right out at me.. Thnxs for sharing.

    PF, I see a face in a crater on the upper left side of your moon! Looks like the greaper I see all the time, the racoon.

    Wonderful moon shot! Technically supurb!

    Skippy - I missed your question - sorry- sometimes I think the little yellow light bulb that is supposed to indicate unread posts does not always work right - anyway I missed your post and didn't see it until Ginger posted later.

    This was shot with a tripod of course. Actually a Gitzo 1328 plus an Arca-Swiss head and a Wimberley Sidekick, in the dark shadow of my house away from the street light. I didn't use mirror lock up, but I should have. Other than the tripod and the excellence of Canon's optics, I think the biggest factor was the cool, quiet, dry air. Glad you liked the shot.
