My co-woker (jurist) agreed to pose for me...

Oh, those inscriptions!

I think there's something of her profession here...

I (as you have noticed) like red bricks walls! And then turn it to sepia with some softness...

Must say, she was pleased with printed photos...

I absolutley love these! I dont know where to start or what to say, really... I'm going to show these to anyone who passes my computer.

If you dont mind, what do you do? Well... what does your co-worker do? I would guess you're in photo, and not just because you took good pictures. She looks REALLY comfortable infront of the camera. From your into to the picture it seemed like she wasnt all up to do this at first?

    Lovely!
My favs are #2 (she's very relaxed) and #3 - interesting matting solution.

I guess there is something different in Russian water:-)
Most of the US lawyers I met were old fat guys. And even if there were one pretty girl amongst them, I can only imagine for how much I'd be sued by her if I only dared to suggest her to pose for me..:-)

    Great job, Yuri!thumb.gif

Most of the graffities I see on those walls are not in cyrillic..
I on #2 I see smth like "dgrin" carved in the corner (gray cement plaster).
But other than that I don't see what used to be common (Х..., Е..., П...) foul words..

You obviously are great with people and they do trust you a lot. For a young lady go alone with 40 plus y.o. man (sometimes a total stranger) to a empty back alley "to take pictures"... :-) Hard to imagine here...:D

Bring more, I love your work!

    Mr. Pautov,

You have an exceptional nack for making the model relaxed looking. I aspire to one day get 1 portrait too look like yours do. Very beautiful work, and models!!
Is there an easy remedy to get the models to relax, besides vodka...lol?

    Cheers, Tony

    Yuri,

For the umpteenth time....WOW!!!! I don't suppose you would consider coming to Mongolia (soooo close.....) and giving a one-on-one workshop on portraits? Ah well.....
I am sure it has less to do with the water and more to do with your skills (your talented eye both with and without the lens!)

Lovely shots and lovely presentations, Turi.

The photo with the graffiti is wonderful--the arrow directed straight at her.
