Fisheye adaptors

Does anybody have any experience with these fisheye adaptors that screw onto your lens using the filter threads? I like the look of fisheyes but don't want to spend 300 bucks for a lens to do it. So I found these things on ebay then started to look on the web for more details, but can't seem to find much. So long story short, how will this look on my D70 with my 50mm 1.8?

From what I seen and read, the fisheye adaptors are not really close to the quality of a true fisheye lens. Here's a good link comparing an Adorama brand fisheye adaptor.

Personally, I would search for a used Peleng 8mm fisheye if your interested in taking these photos. My Peleng was $200 on eBay and it's one of my most used lenes.

I've used them in the past and had OK results. This is on a CoolPix 950
though. I think the adapter was about $100.
