Metallica! Image Heavy.
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to see METALLICA in concert. I've seen them twice before way back in the 80's, but never this close! I was up against the rail, dead center, 4 feet from the stage. My primary struggle was getting clean shots while *constantly* being jostled by dudes around me. This was my first time photographing a concert with anything other than an iPhone.
C&C appreciated.

Thanks everyone! Much appreciated.
That's Rob Trujillo on bass. Replaced Newsted in 2003. He's 46 years old and, as you can see from the photos, gives 100% at every performance. Here he is jumping around the stage from a squat position in time with the intro of "Enter Sandman"
and he wins the award for "Badass Bassist Stance"

However, a security guy (who appeared to be the head of security) saw me against the rail just before the show and said "You can't take photos with that thing! I will stop you." I was quite bummed.
However, he never returned, and he never had the security guys in front of the stage enforce it. So, I took a chance and got lucky. I only had my 17-55mm, so I had to get close!
